Just to give you a glimpse into my life, a random lady came up to me while I was taking these photos, leaned in nice and close, and whispered: "You should stand up straight, you know." I'm sorry, but are hunchbacks not in this season? I guess I didn't get the memo. Maybe I should have fibbed and told her that I have scoliosis just to make things nice and awkward — that would have shown her. Stupid retrospect.

Well at least I have this spotted Phillip Lim for Target skirt to keep me (and my hunch) warm at night, right? Sigh.

Six friends, three Target locations and one pumpkin spice latte — that's all it took to score my entire Phillip Lim wishlist, ladies and gents. If I'm not mistaken, I think that's what they call a winning strategy... Either that, or a stage five, point-of-no-return, OCD-fuelled shopping addiction. I prefer the former.

Sometimes the most unexpected backdrops turn out to be the best, as was the case with this construction site that my friend Jerry coaxed me onto. Despite the nagging feeling that I was doing something wrong the entire time (B&E, anyone?), it was actually one of the funnest shoots I've ever done — Rain, lightning, jagged edges and all. xx

Sometimes a deal is just too good to pass up, like this — wait for it — $7 (!!!) dress from H&M. That's right my friends, 7 big ones... I'll just give you a minute to let that sink in. 

Now it might not look as good on me as it does on Beyonce (her giant posters pretty much taunted me during checkout), but I don't mind — Like I said before, a deal's a deal. Good thing I'm a sucker for a landscape print, huh?

Well it's my last day in Victoria (sniff sniff), and as you read this, Meows, Mr. AiF and I are probably en route to Vancouver for the last couple days of our vacay... If you follow me on Instagram you're probably sick of Victoria pics by now (sorry!), but I can't help it — It's just so flipping good to be home! I miss you already, you beautiful city, you...

As temperatures rise, I'm all about laid-back separates... The only trouble is when you find yourself wearing white, which inevitably leads to a day spent agonizing over if that skirt that looked so good in the bedroom mirror that morning is in fact see-through under in the blazing sun. Turns out it wasn't, but just try and tell that to the neurotic voice in my head... Hashtag spazz. xx

If you had asked if I liked vests a week ago I would have shrugged and shook my head no, but apparently a lot can change in a week, like swearing off sugar or taking travel mugs to Starbucks. The last few days have proven two things to me: 1. I'm incredibly weak-willed; and 2. I like vests... Hows that for a light bulb moment?

{Details} Dotted Haze...

Remember yesterday's post about working ahead, batching and doing whatever you can to stay on top of your blog? Well this post is an example of what not to do. For instance, don't neglect to take photos ahead of time and instead force yourself to pose in the rain at 5 p.m.... Just don't do it. Oh, and if you know you're going to an event after work (Cirque de Soleil, whaaaat!), do not leave the editing and writing of your next day's post until after you get home... You know, unless you actually like staying up until 1 a.m. and being a total crankasaurus at work the next day. Seriously, don't do it.

{Style} Fleur Sure...

You know me, always quick to jump on the cheesy-pun express... So when I find a floral print worthy of some good old fashioned word play, you bet your sweet Asos (zing!) I'm going for it— Fleur sure.

Anyway, I picked this blouse up during my inaugural Target Canada visit last week, which has led to re-wearing said shirt more times than I care to admit. But seriously, just try and have a bad day when you're packing tha much floral print action, I dare you... It just can't be done.
