Black or White...

I've discovered the wonderful world of Polyvore. If you haven't yet tried it out, you can create collections (such as the ones below) to post on your blog. I'd heard about it and seen it on plenty of other blogs so decided to give it a go - it's brilliant!
Anyway back to the main point. I like to wear a lot of colour usually, failing that something with an interesting print but two of the main trends set to come in for this spring and summer (It seems crazy talking about summer when it's absolutely freezing outside!) involve wearing clothes that are black or white. I've picked out a few of my favourite items to give you inspiration for the summer months!

{Style} City Slicker...

It feels like an eternity since I was in New York, so when my good buddy Jenna sent me these pics from our trip, I just couldn't resist posting them. I mean seriously, how dreamy is the backdrop? {Travel Diary} NYC Part 2

After what felt like a million photos, Instagram shots and video footage, I'm still wading through all my New York content, trying to figure out what to do with it all. And believe me, that's no small feat. Looking through it brings back so many fun memories and discoveries, and I couldn't have asked for a better partner in crime than miss Dress Me Dearly herself... I mean come on, we share a shoe size AND vegetarianism — we were pretty much meant to travel together (and apparently were both really sad to come home).

{Style} SOHO

I'm back from New York, and although my heart is heavy (Edmonton just doesn't quite compare!), I'm energized by my time there. All that hustle and pumped-up energy really inspired me to work twice as hard to achieve my goals (of which there are many), and I suddenly feel like the impossible is within reach... Talk to me in a few weeks when my NYC-high has faded, but for now let's just roll with it, shall we?

{Photo Diary} New York City!

After a very red, red eye flight, Janis and I put our adventuring caps on and traipsed around the city, trusty cameras in tow. After the initial shock of arriving finally sank in, all we wanted to do was explore every last inch of the city. Stunned by the sights, architecture and crazy-cool city vibe, we crammed as many activities into our first day as our sleep-deprived bodies would allow... And believe me, it was worth it.

We made new friends, did a little shopping (can you say studded leather jacket much?), shared a mutual disdain for Times Square (ick), explored some quaint neighbourhoods/restaurants, and finished the evening on the most magical of rooftop patios (our hotel is pretty much the greatest). All in all, it's been a great start to what I hope will be an even greater trip... Thanks for reading along friends! xx

New York Bound...

Good morning, lovelies! As you read this, I'll be on a flight to New York with my lovely friend Janis  for the very first time!!! Now I know this might not seem like the biggest deal in the world to some of you, but going to NYC has been my dream for longer than I can remember, and I'm beside myself with excitement — Eeeeek!

Janis and I plan on getting into ample shenanigans while away (including IFB, FNO and as much shopping as we can handle!), and naturally we want you guys to be a part of it. So with that in mind, we'll both be blogging throughout the trip, giving you guys live updates here and on Twitter and Instagram...
