Hair and Beauty

I am back to blogging (as in posting) but I still need to get around to catching up on everyone else's blogs. I've got quite a lot going on at the moment so I promise after next week I'll be right on it! I might start organising my time better and giving myself more time for blog reading as I really should/would like to do more of that. I might go on a bit of a blog hunt as well and find a few newbies to add to my collection!
I haven't really talked much about hair and makeup on my blog as it's not really my 'thing' as it were, but I thought I'd step aside from the fashion slightly for this post. I'm in that phase at the moment where I really want to do something different with my hair, do you ever get that? Uh huh...well...every year or so this happens to me. I never end up changing anything drastic (...ever!) but I'll spend my time collecting images of how I wish my hair could be if I could do anything. So below are an assortment of hair and makeup ideas that I've collected recently....

Call it what you want...

Just to let you know, I've joined Lookbook (I'm obsessed with the site now!) so if you want to follow me on there feel free to!
I'm so glad it's got warmer (as in no longer freezing) recently. It means I no longer have to wrap up in loads of layers and I only wore one pair of tights today - record! Anyway, I'm wearing my favourite jacket of all time - I've practically lived in it this winter. It's from Vero Moda and was about £60, a real bargain I thought. The top was my Dad's and the skirt I bought on ebay for around about £5.

Roses are Red

An outfit post for you today. I went to the sales at Westfield yesterday with some friends and managed to find a few good purchases. The two in this post are this really lovely red dress and some silver heels. The dress is from Urban Outfitters. I saw it about a month ago when it was full price, so was really happy to see it was reduced to £25. I just couldn't resist this dress. The fabric is amazing and I love the print as well. It's also very versatile and can be worn in a variety of different ways. This is actually the first thing I've bought from this shop but I've always loved their clothes (even though they're a tad overpriced). I've paired this dress with some shoes I bought from New Look. I didn't go out with the intention of buying another pair of heels but these were only £8! which I thought was a real bargain. I'm also wearing my spike necklace (see here). It's a very simplistic outfit (quite unusual for me) but I really love it! Sometimes wearing one simple garment can look the best.

What were your best sales purchases?

{Christmas Week} Seeing Red...

I don't know what it is about this time of year, but I always seem to revert back to eight-year-old Vickie in both mind and dress. Alarming maybe, but let's just chalk it up to the holiday season. Take this outfit for instance; I'm pretty sure I look like a kid who's watched too much Madeline, am I right? The barrett and school girl-inspired gettup aren't helping matters, but what can I say, these things happen. Now all I need is hot cocoa and day 19 of my chocolate advent calendar, and I'm good to go.

PS- Notice the atypical laughing photo at the end? That's because some random dude decided to photo-bomb me... How could I not include that?

{Style} Gingham Style...

Well it's official— Gingham is my new jam. I don't know what it is, but I can't seem to get enough of those little squares. They're like the perfect blend of casual and preppy, anchoring dressier elements while adding visual interest. What am I even talking about? Who cares, they're totally cute... Let's just go with that.

Happy Wednesday, friends! xx

Collared Whites & Leopards Brights

I was lucky enough to be sent a Press Moria top from one of my lovely sponsors, Shoppalu, and I couldn't love it more... It's super lightweight and comfy, while the cut and decorative trim have made it an instant favourite of mine. So when I was thinking about how I wanted to style it for this post, I figured there was no better item than my leopard Joes Jeans. And with the added kick from my trusty red flats, I was good to go...

Happy Thursday! xx

Wardrobe Wednesday...

I thrifted this clutch last summer in Victoria for only $2.99, and so far it's been an invaluable addition to my collection. It's super roomy and versatile, and it's vibrant colour livens up any old outfit... Just look at how many times I've worn it already!
