{Style} Weekend Wear...

Weekends are for kicking back, enjoying time with friends and treating yo-self to some serious carbs and caffeine (just me?), so when it comes to dressing the part, there's nothing I love more than my trusty slouchy-shirt-n-jeans combo. It's put together juuuuuust enough as to look presentable — especially with the help of a statement necklace — yet comfortable enough to lounge in all weekend long. In fact, as soon as I get home tonight I'm going to pull a Mr. Rogers and change into my "indoor" clothes... Only minus the thousands of children watching.

{Details} Casual Club...

Now don't judge, but every now and then I feel compelled to bring my vintage Club Monaco sweatshirt out of hibernation. I don't know what it is about that old, familiar logo and its circle-engulfed crest, but I love it. Maybe it's because these sweatshirts saw me through my childhood (that, and pacifier jewelry) making them steeped with nostalgia, or the fact that every crush I ever had ages eight through 10 sported these bad boys too. Shrug. Whatever it is, the CM sweatshirt is alive and well in my heart and on the blog today... I'm sorry and you're welcome. xx

{Style} Wooded Walk...

So I never thought I would be saying this, but the whole not shopping thing is actually working out for me. After my initial withdrawals faded (that part was not fun, believe me), I stopped feeling compelled to buy things just for the sake of buying them. And the amount of awesomeness I've rediscovered within my own wardrobe astounds me. I think I've only worn this blazer once before (super cray!), and it had been eons since I last wore this vintage scarf or these Joe Fresh pumps... What can I say ladies and gentlemen, I'm a new woman.

Don't you just love weekends? Sunny day by the river, family lunch at my aunt's house, lots of laugh, happy faces and good food of course! ;) Perfect for me!
I was wearing one of my favorite ripped jeans, great for spring/summer , mixed with striped shirt and floral scarf. Relaxed outfit for a day like this!
