Wardrobe Wednesday...

Now I know long-time readers have seen this clutch before, but I just couldn't resist bringing it out once again in blog form... I found him (yes, it's a he) at a Salvation Army a couple years back and was instantly drawn to his finish, size and, of course, 80's vibe. To my delight, he turned out to be vintage Stuart Weitzman and cost, if memory serves, about $28. Pricey by SA standards, but a fist-pumping good deal for a Weitzman... Oh yeah.

Falling For Fuchsia...

There's nothing like a vibrant colour to elevate an otherwise dull ensemble to new heights... At least that's what I would like to think is going on here. I had been wearing this cotton H&M dress around the house all day, feeling uber gross-n-grubby, when Mr. AIF suggested we take advantage of the "golden hour" and snap some photos... I grumbled in agreement, threw a blazer over what had quickly become my house dress (think house coat), and slicked my ratty, I've-been-home-all-day-and-couldn't-bother hair. This, my friends, is the end result... Aren't I a sight for sore eyes? In case you weren't sure, that was a giant hashtag sarcasm.

adventures in thrifting...

So I know I do this a lot, but I can't help it... I just love sharing thrifting finds with you way too much! And this, let me tell you, is a good one. I found this leather clutch at a Salvation Army about a year ago, and it was love at first sight. I die for all things 80's, so naturally the allure of this bag was palpable. And just imagine my excitement in discovering that not only was this clutch amazingly rad and in perfect condition, but it was vintage Stuart Weitzman to boot! As an avid bag collector (see: hoarder), I was in blissful heaven... Who says material objects can't bring happiness?
